Sarah Dixon

Singing is one of my favorite things to do.  I have been singing since I was a child, harmonizing with my mom and listening to Psalty tapes in the car.  I’ve always been involved in choirs, and absolutely love working with other ​musicians to create something bigger than myself.  I have always loved singing in church, where I got my start, and sharing the hope of God’s love with others through song.  In high school, I discovered my love for the stage in musical theater, and saw my classical piano training pay off as I entered the world of classical vocal literature.  After college and into graduate school I further realized my enjoyment of singing oratorio and also the in recital setting.  

I currently teach voice, sing in various choral groups and recording sessions, and perform any chance I get!  Singing is a means of communication and emotional release for me, and I know it is something I will continue to pursue and enjoy the rest of my life.  I thank the Lord for the gift of music and for those in my life who continue to support, encourage and inspire me!
